Environmentalists Hate Poor People*

When lawmakers such as Congresswoman Karen Bass (CA33) allow their spokesman to make statements like, “The environment is much more important than jobs,” the President’s Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, says “Somehow, we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,” there is no way we can view environmental elitists and anything less than vultures willing to feed on America’s poor. There is no moderation and absolutely no humanity in today’s draconian energy policies and regulations.

Fellow SLOB, Word Warrior of So Cal has an excellent essay on just how bad it’s gotten.

At the end of the day, how can anyone justify a $50 light bulb? Try, I dare you.

* I have to admit that I borrowed this from Mark Meckler who once asked an interviewer who pressed him on the moral superiority of environmental mandates, “Why do you hate poor people so much?” Which left said pundit speechless.
